Mittweida University of Applied Sciences
The Free State of Saxony commissioned the construction of a new building complex for the Media and Social Work Department of the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, which has a total of over 650 students. This includes a television studio with an area of approximately 400 m² and a permanently installed grandstand. The aim of this studio is to replicate a realistic production environment of a television and event production company for teaching purposes. A smaller studio with an area of 33 m² is used for virtual production technology.
The studio’s lighting and stage technology consists of 20 lighting bar hangers 120 kg with 2.6 – 3 m length, 13 lighting bar hangers 200 kg with 5 m length, 1 load bar hoist 250 kg with 14 m length (all MTS brand), ASM point hoists 500 kg, VNR control system PosiControl, Cyclo-Track 3-lane horizon rail system, curtains, main distribution and ETC lighting control system Element, VNR network Ethernet and DMX, the installation technology and the lighting equipment. As spotlights, mainly devices with modern energy-saving LED technology such as Arri LED Fresnel L7-T 3,200 K, ETC LED-Profiler Source Four Lustr as well as Nesys cold light panel lights and INTEGRA HZ for the horizon lighting were used. The studio was completed in December 2014.
