The RSI broadcasting station in Lugano (Ticino) is responsible for the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland as part of Swiss television SRG. Three studios produce specific programmes for the region, including news, magazines and entertainment.

CYCLO LED backlighting was installed in Studio 2 (210 m²) and Studio 4 (140 m²) in 2017 and 2018. In Studio 2, a projection screen with a transmission foil measuring 180 m² at a height of 5 m is illuminated by RGB LEDs, and in Studio 4, a screen measuring 140 m² at a height of 4.5 m is illuminated.

The design versatility offered by CYCLO LED backlighting, the reduction in decorative elements required, and the additional usability as a green box surface have also convinced RSI of the advantages of this technology.
