RTS Genf

We planned and equipped the renovated lighting technology for RTS’s 340 m² magazine studio in Geneva with fully automatic LED spotlight technology. Motorised L7-C and L10-C LED spotlights were used on telescopic arms that can be moved along running rails. All settings for the spotlights and telescopic arms can be stored via a position control system and can be recalled in a matter of minutes for repeat magazine programmes.

In addition, the studio was equipped with CYCLO LED backlighting. The system, which is also used at SWR in Stuttgart, allows for versatile horizon design with static or moving graphics, colour schemes or video content, and can also be used as a large green box background for chroma key applications.

For additional lighting equipment, such as moving lights or decorative elements, 3 m and 6 m long pole light hangers and point hoists in running rails were arranged between the rows of telescopic light hangers, which are also controlled in position via the control system. This is the world’s first studio with fully automatic LED spotlight technology and LED backlighting. It has been used since June 2015 for RTS’s extensive magazine programmes.
